Are you a seasoned Laravel expert who loves crafting scalable, high-performing backend solutions? We’re looking for a Senior Laravel Developer to join our dynamic team at Algora AS. In this role, you’ll take the lead in building and maintaining cutting-edge web applications while working closely with our CTO, cross-functional teams, and an exciting US tech startup partner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect & Develop: Design, build, and maintain robust backend applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Collaborate: Work closely with the CTO and cross-functional teams to plan, design, and launch new features.
• Optimize: Ensure maximum performance, scalability, and reliability of our applications.
• Code Quality: Perform thorough code reviews, implement unit tests, and uphold best practices.
• Innovation: Contribute fresh ideas to enhance our technology stack and stay updated on the latest Laravel trends.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of professional backend development, with at least 3 years focused on Laravel.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrable problem-solving skills and a strong track record can outweigh formal education.

Technical Skills:

• Mastery of PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Strong knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
• Familiarity with Java, C++, Python, or other programming languages is a plus.
• Basic understanding of frontend technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3) is beneficial.
• Experience or interest in React/Vue is a bonus, but backend expertise is the priority.

Languages:

• Fluent Norwegian is preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills are required; international candidates are encouraged to apply.
